There’s also no official rules for thumb wars, but If you and I got into a thumb war and I decided to punch you in the face with my other hand to win, you’d probably call me a cheater. They have no reason to specify that cloning is cheating, because so many of their customers do it and they are making money. You’re right, there are no “official” rules for Covet, but that’s because it’s an app-based game and all the developers care about is profit. Just saying “people like it” doesn’t make it not cheating!! and like in many areas of life, one way to do that is by cheating. Yes, everybody likes getting good scores and prizes. And besides the fairness of it, what’s even the point? What joy to you get out of this game if your scores have NOTHING to do with your individual creative styling / fashion skills? but at the end of the day it’s still cheating!! I seriously don’t see how this is any different.Īnd, because there are so many clones, they’re able to swing voting in their favor because of the algorithm. ![]() ![]() Sometimes they’re right, sometimes they’re wrong, and maybe overtime you get better and figuring out which kids to cheat off of. How is this different than cheating? In school, for example, cheating is when you steal other people’s answers during a test or let someone else wright your essays. While I think it’s ok to get inspiration from others, the idea of cloning is just nonsensical to me. This game is specifically about fashion and styling. My instinct is that it’s wrong, and that cloners are ruining the game for everyone else, but I’m open to hearing the other side’s POV.
